Thoracic Surgery
In the field of Thoracic Surgery, the use of Verima is particularly useful for:
3D model preview
By processing a single thoracic CT scan and taking advantage of state-of-the-art deep learning techniques (multi-level), it is possible to identify all the various anatomical components and organs of interest present in the thoracic cavity (lungs, heart, trachea, vascular components, etc.).
In the present model, it is possible to visualize lungs with a tumor and vessels in evidence. The tridimensional model gives a clear indication of the anatomical location of the lesion and its proximity to anatomical structures close to the lungs.
The use of Verima in Thoracic Surgery proves to be valuable during invasive or minimally invasive surgery. Through the aid of the reconstructed clinical case in this example, the surgeon can assess what is the appropriate approach to the procedure in the operating room, based on an “augmented” perception of tumor size and location.
Verima Components for Thoracic Surgery
The Verima Suite includes a series of software, each with a specific role:
Custom Segmentations
Add Custom Segmentations available for Thoracic Surgery for faster and more intuitive anatomical understanding.
Add to your LicenceSegmentation represents the identification and spatial division of anatomical structures of interest.
The custom segmentation service is performed from DICOM files. The Segmentations available for this specialization are:
